Stitch Pink by Moda

Last year, Moda created Stitch Pink to help raise awareness, in large part because the Moda family has been touched by breast cancer. The social media platform was used to remind each other of the importance of mammograms and early detection, to educate ourselves regarding risk factors, and to do a little stitching together. Beginning on Thursday, October 1, one block each day will be shared on The Cutting Table blog, including Saturday and Sunday, through the month, with the Final Assembly instructions on Saturday, October 31. You can sign up to receive a block via email through Havasu Quilts too!

There are thirty 12″ finished blocks set in six rows of five blocks each. The quilt is finished with a 2″ border and binding, making the final quilt 64″ x 76″. Our sample quilt was made using the Grunge Stitch Pink Assortment. We will be kitting this for you as soon as the fabric arrives. More info to come!

We're BACK.. coming soon new posts!

Hi There,
It's been awhile!  New posts are underway. Everything creative in Lake Havasu.  We are quilting, stamping, pressure cooking.. all types of things.  Hope you will join us and find something that interests you.

This week Havasu Quilts has invited 25 Quilty Fun girls to Laughlin for a fun filled weekend with Lori Holt.  She will do a trunk show and teach us all about Sweetie Pie her new quilt and Sew Cherry 2 her new line of fabric.  I will be back with pictures of this fabulous event.

Quilt A Long...

It was 105 today in Havasu...I need to stay inside and keep cool.

I am joining in the Quilt A Long over at Charming Chatter. Kelly has made Darlene's Between Friends quilts with charm squares and each week she is giving us some instructions. It's still not too late to join in. I have picked my fabric begun cutting and today Kelly has listed some stitching instructions. I will post some pics this week showing what I have accomplished. In the mean time hope over and she what is going on....

I've been very very bad....

I have NOT been keeping up on my blogging. I am going to try and do better. I miss my blogger friends.



So, I am going to start with some info updates...

Schnibble is still going on.. I am way behind .. this month is State Fair.

A couple of charms packs and some minor yardage you are good to go...



I learned over at Carol's there is a quilt along with Kelly using Darlene's Just Between Friends Tutorial. It's a Great quilt and the quilt along is featuring a smaller version but, you can make the original as well if you like.. they are just starting on cutting this week. You can still join in head over to see what all the fuss is about!!

Sharon at Red Geranium Cottage turns 50 and opens a new webstore "Daisy Cottage Quilting" You might stop in and see if there is anything you leave without!!

I hosting this years Summer Camp with my friend Jeanette. It is held in Laughlin for a whole weekend! We have picked a pattern and made samples. 38 fabulous quilters are coming along to join in on the fun. It is in July so I have time to get my goodies made up. I have actually started that's a good thing... I am so excited, I think Tata is coming along again this year.

Well, it's been so long I could go on and on.. won't though, I will save some blogging for another day.. would just like to close and say...

Schnibbles News!!

The scnibbles parade for the Roundabout can be seen here and here. The parades are so much fun to see. Everyone uses different fabrics and they all look so great!

It's good weather now, the boats are coming to the lake once again..... and we are enjoying this time of year in Havasu. It will be hot before we know it.

We are still very busy around here March flew by so quickly. Dillon's pics are on my newphone... I am still learning how to use my new phone so there will be a pic here real soon.

He is such a cutie if I don't say so .. well, I'm just saying.. lol

U Stamp Spring Soiree 2010

I am so excited!! I signed up for this wonderful opportunity.. we are going to have so much fun. I am getting started late since I have been out of town.. I am hoping to get caught up here and show off my creativity.
I am getting samples ready for Summer Camp 2010 quilt retreat also. I will be posting them. We had a great time in Laughlin last year and this year our theme is Christmas Jingles in July!
I have a new grandson since we last visited. His name is Dillon and is ohhh sooo cute! We got a sister for Khloe.. (our dog) her name is Daisy.. she is a handful and we are working hard to make her a great addition.
The quilt store is doing wonderful and keeps me ever so busy. The weather is starting to get really nice here in Havasu also. I heard the lake was very busy .. some say it was busier than Memorial Weekend.. we just finished having Spring Break here so alot of people were in town.

Schnibbles Picnic

I am busy with the Havasu Stitchers Quilt Show this weekend in Lake Havasu City... Preview party is Thursday night.. I was able to get a peek while setting up my booth. WOWIE is all I can say.. there are some talented quilters out there.. I will take some pics to share..

PIW - Schnibbles

Good Morning, I did not finish but, I wanted to show you I have been working on my Oct Schnibbles. It's Cindy Lou Who and I am using Holly Jolly by Moda. I spent some time going to all the participants blogs and there is some absolutely wonderful projects out there. I am looking forward to the quilt show this next weekend alot of work goes into hosting this event. I only wish you could attend and see the fabulous quilts that are entered. I will have pictures.

Everybody's Doing It.....

I keep seeing Churndash blocks everywhere.. I decided to do it too!! They really go together quickly.





Tata and finished block 10 of the 2009 Mystery BOM from The Fat Quarter Shop.. we are almost done and then we will meet at one or the others house to put it all together.. we are going to have so much fun.
I have lots of little things to finish today. I am going to finish putting together my schnibbles for September and pick out fabrics for the October 'Cindy Lou Who'. I think I might do Christmas.
